Eighties revival

I am born in 1983 and Fashion 80's revival is coming at the right time . It makes remind me an innocent chikdhood full of colored pictures. It was a time when people were willing to renew their environment in breaking rules.
Being born in the eighties does it mean that you are born under a lucky star ? Does it mean that you have the positive energy to change everything you want ? Does it mean than you can be different in getting your Liberty ? I don't have the answers of those questions but I am thinking about it.
For me 80's means more than my year of birth, it's above all a lot of memories: The Prince of Bel Air, Bon Jovi, Madonna, Tina Turner, Boy George or Magnum...
All those personnalities contributed to make what 80's embodies today : a colorful and creative period. When MTV started, Tina turner was shining on the stage.
80's are a drastic changing time in music industry and consequently in fashion world. It's time of showing-off fashion styles. It's symbol of evolution : Ronald Reagan was president of America, Margaret Thatcher was driving England crazy and Communism was ending. The Berliner Wall was falling down and politics were trying to make us forget "Chernobil's mistake". It's a contesting decade. Liberal political ideas were developing a new way of thinking in society. It fed new fashion behaviors. Fashion was changing. 80's was a boosting time for it. A new wave was coming down on worldwide Conservatism.

80's are back and it puts Mickael Jackson as a fashion trender.
Wide T-shirt , sequined jackets, are celebrating the 80's style.
Balmain, seduced, revisited it during Pret-à-Porter fashion shows : Jackets are sequined and silhouettes are definitely Rock and Rolled .
Back on the scene, 80's style had settled in fashion trends since 2006. What started with skinny jeans Come-Back, broke into worldwide fashion trends.
Taste of liberty is blowing in fashion industry.
Crazy hairs styles, Controversed pop stars, colored tights, kaleidoscopic sneakers... It's a bubbling time!
80's fashion is far away from aritocratic style! Eccentricity, provocation, are the key words of the gender. It is not a uniformed look, it's all about mixing clothes together.
80's silhouette are flirting with X factor, shoulders are large, waist very thin and hips larger, that's one of the reason why the Blazer had a success in 80's dressings. Bracelets and necklaces are over sized and colorful.
Credit crisis or not it's a new energy which is arriving in fashion industry and it's renewing it. Why should we adapt our clothes to the mororsity? Fashion has a role to play: changing our mood in making our outfits smiling.

Fashion designers hijacked Mickael Jackson style in something more conventionnal. MJ definitly became a fashion fodder. The last Balmain show is totally inspired by Mickael jackson outfits.
