Moi Alina, Mannequin, 16 ans

Que savons-nous réellement des reines des podiums?
La réponse est sans appel: pas grand chose!
Les idées reçues sont nombreuses. Elles nourrissent un éventail de pensées absurdes à effacer de nos inconscients. Certains pensent les mannequins bêtes et capricieuses, d'autres les imaginent irrevérentieuses ou prétentieuses, d'autres encore les voient TOUTES , anorexiques ou boulimiques. Les clichés sont nombreux mais ils sont très souvent éloignés de la réalité.
Peut-on exiger d'une jeune fille de 14 ans, le comportement d' une femme de 25 ou 30 ans?
Une part de frustration et de jalousie alimente la polémique sur le mannequin dit "stupide". Derrière la femme sexy des papiers glacés se cache une autre réalité, celle de l'enfance, de l'adolescence.
Le mannequin n'est pas très différent des autres individus, son vécu conditionne son attitude. Reduire un mannequin à "Walk and shut up" ne révèle pas la réalité de l'industrie du mannequinat.
L'équipe de Fashion Truth a rencontré des modèles du monde entier. Chacune était différente. La témérité de la russe ou de l'africaine, la légèreté de la brésilienne, l' audace de l'américaine font que chacune d' elles a une personnalité .
Nous avons rencontré Alina, 16 ans sur le casting de Louis Vuitton. Elle nous a expliqué les difficultés de son quotidien de mannequin. Elle nous a aussi confié ses aspirations personnelles. Nous avons alors été frappés par la maturité et la personnalité de ce futur top modèle.

FT: Can you introduce yourself ?


Alina: Hi, my name is Alina, heu... I am 16, and I am in Viva model agency.


FT: Where are you from ?

Alina: I am from Russia.

FT: Where do you live during this fashion week?

Alina: I am living in an hotel.

FT: How does the paris fashion week happen ?

Alina : It's really tough for me, it is my first season, I am just starting in modelling industry and I miss my family. I miss my friends too.
Sometimes, I feel lonely. I don't have a lot of friends here. I don't speak french and there's not a lot of french people who are speaking english. ( she told it with her beautifull russian accent).


FT: What are you doing after the fashion week?

Alina: I will go back to Russia, I have to go to school.


FT: What are you studying?

Alina: I am in High School but I would like to do a Marketing university because I want to run my own business. I want to get my own model agency.


FT: It sounds great. It looks to be important for you because you speak about it in a very determined way. But why ?

Alina: You know being model doesn't last forever you have to do something else after that. I think I will stop my career when I will be 24. There is not a lot of models who have a very long career except Kate Moss or Naomie Campbell.


FT: How many shows did you,during this fashion week ?

Alina: You know it was really tough for me, I didn't got a lot of shows, I did Prada in Milan, I am booked for Vuitton in Paris, but sometimes clients don't want to book me after the castings. It's hard to accept. When I go back in my hotel, sometimes, I am crying because, I am worried. It's very long days during the fashion week . There is a lot of castings but it's not all of them which bring you success.


FT: You don't have to be worried because you are making a good start. You did Prada, Vuitton, Miu Miu. It's not the quantity but the quality which really matters when you are a" Fashion model".


Alina: Yes it's true. I really like this job, it is a really good opportunity, I met people, I travelled.I love New York .It was a very exciting experience but sometimes, It is so exhausting. So now, I want to go home because I am tired and I miss my family.

After the interview Alina left in another Casting, the day is not finished for her!!!!!
